Glancing yet again at her phone, frowning disappointingly that only a minute had passed since last checking. Frantic thoughts scurried her brain as she started to think the worst. He’s twenty minutes late, where is he? She thought urgently, checking her phone for any missed calls or text messages, only to meet face to face with none of the above. After running a nervous hand through her tousled, freely dried waves, she looked up and her heart had dropped with a ten pound weight attached to it. Walking like an angel, sprinkled with sunlight, Nick walked down the cement strip with his grin growing on his face with every step. Abby tried her hardest just to sprint into his arms and knock him to the ground, but nothing could feel better than his big muscles gripping to every inch of her midsection as her feet left the pavement and spun in circles. “I know I had agreed to you touring for eight months, but this was sure as hell hard.” Abby whispered breathlessly, trying not to let the wetness in her eyes be declared happy tears. Nick pressed a soft kiss to her neck, the secret weak spot he knows to use to his advantage, and gently placed her feet back onto the ground. He tried to mimic her brown eyes but she didn’t want to look at him just yet, because she had feared she would start crying. Instead, she clung to him like all the time in the world was theirs. “I missed you so much baby.” He murmured against her forehead. Abby closed her eyes slowly, breathing in his earthy cologne stained on his skin, “I missed you too. You’re not going away for eight months ever again.”
