This is the tumblr for the short stories of the imagination right in my brain. Suggestions will gladly be taken in my ask box. Please enjoy these small stories of imagery!
Nick hummed with every beat of his footsteps, imaginary guitar strums taking over his hands as he walked up the driveway to his front door step. He’s had this beat in his head all day so he left to run to the studio to figure it out, and unbeknownst to him he had been there a total of six hours. As he twisted the key to his door, he opened the door and noticed that not a single light was on. “Jay?” he questioned, wondering why the lights were off. He reached for a switch on the wall, and he saw no one in the den. Huh, that was weird. As he searched the whole house for a single soul, a breath, something. Nothing. As he was about to grab his cell phone from the counter top, he heard the door jiggle, and soon it slammed to the right of the wall, and in stumbled his wife, giggling harder with every thing she did wrong. “Jay? Where the fuck have you been?” Nick asked, starting to get angry. They’ve never been apart without telling each other where they were going. “I was out with my girls.” she hiccupped, and then giggled again at the funny noise. Nick furrowed his brow as he realized she had been drinking. “Where did you guys go?” Nick asked, watching her hold onto the sofa as she slipped of her red heels. She slurred, “Just a…dance ba-r.” Nick rolled his eyes, his jaw clenching as he watched what alcohol did to his wife. “You know you’re not supposed to drink much alcohol after what happened, remember Jade?” Nick spat. His wife’s eyes rolled backwards as she sighed, chuckling, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She said, clearly not fazed. Nick clenched his jaw again, growing more angry, “Yes you do, Jade. You went to intensive rehab for two years. Two years. Two years you were taken away from me. You hear me?” he asks, shaking her shoulders like a leaf, as if it would sober her up some more. She started to have a serious moment where she looked like she would hold a conversation but then she busted out giggling obnoxiously, pawing all over Nick’s chest as she slurred, “You silly, silly boy.” Nick clenched his fists now, anger coursing through his veins like a flu shot, “I can’t believe you’d want to try to do this to me again Jade.” he said bitterly.
