Sighing, Nick takes the bulky headphones off of his head, ruffling his curls that had an indent from the headphones. He yawned, closing the piano cap closed as he looks to the window, hearing a huge clap of thunder and seeing a gigantic rip of lightning tear through the sky, lighting the world for a nanosecond just like a strobe light. His heart jumps as a thought crosses his mind as fast as the lightning, ‘I just love watching the rain, it’s the only thing that makes the world seem sane.’ He smiles, suddenly coming up with a good idea. He gets up from the piano and grabs his bag, bolting out of the door, hearing Garbo yell at him, “Dude, where are you going?” Nick yells back, in a hurry, “I gotta go see Meg!” And without another word, he pushes the door open being nearly collapsed on by a wall of rain. Luckily there was an umbrella around, but it’s not like it would do him any good now. So, quickly, he sprinted into his blue Mustang, shutting the door and turning on the ignition at the same time. He spun out of the beat lab parking lot, speeding down the highway to her house. When he finally makes it, he doesn’t bother grabbing the umbrella, he darts for the door, ringing the doorbell four times with two knocks—something they had come up with so they know who it is. Instantly, the door flew to the side and she was already wearing a deep set smile. “It’s raining,” Nick breathed heavily, smiling with his teeth to show, ”just for you.” She started to laugh, his favorite sound in the entire world, as melodic as the piano, and she nodded, “I’m glad you remembered.” He grabbed her by the waist, and with a gentle tug he pulled her into the wave of water, both getting soaked by the sky’s tears.
