This is the tumblr for the short stories of the imagination right in my brain. Suggestions will gladly be taken in my ask box. Please enjoy these small stories of imagery!
Zero seconds. Nick stands at the beginning of the rest of his life, hands nervously clamped together as he feels his suit sticking tighter to his chest with every breath he takes that matches with the seconds passing by. He glances at Joe. He glances at Kevin. His mom. His dad. Frankie. Her family. This is it.
One second. Everyone in the pews stand. They glance towards the two big brown doors of the chapel. Nick’s heart clenches in his chest, knowing that soon, his love would float through those doors.
Two seconds. The piano starts to play. Nick is familiar with it because he’s heard it at Kevin’s wedding, and at Joe’s. He wouldn’t think that he would be the one standing at the altar, waiting for his vision of white.
Three seconds. The doors open. Nick’s breathing stops as the sunlight carves her flaming white silhouette, like a flame painting the white sky. Although he doesn’t see he face, he knows, he feels the happiness she has always brought to him whenever they’re near. He can see her smile, and his heart eases just like it did when he first proposed to her that cold winter night.
Time slows as she waltzes up to Nick, and he takes her hand gingerly and feeling completely at ease at her smooth touch. Looking at her blue eyes, Nick sighs because here, right now, this is the moment he waited for. Distraction cut through his senses until the very moment he said “I do”, connecting two lives together.
