This is the tumblr for the short stories of the imagination right in my brain. Suggestions will gladly be taken in my ask box. Please enjoy these small stories of imagery!
“You ready Evan?” Nick asked with high hopes, juggling the yellow stitched softball in his big hand, his eyes dressed on his twelve year old son straight across from him. His son was cradling an aluminum bat above his head with determination sewn in his eyes. He nodded towards his dad, saying, “Just throw it already.” Nick chuckled to himself because he noticed that his ‘I have to win all the time’ attitude was passed down to his son. Along with his brown eyes and dominant curly hair. But that’s beside the point. Taking his pitcher stance, Nick threw his arm back, then forward, shoving the ball towards his son. In a satisfying crack, Evan connected the ball with the bat, landing somewhere in their vacant backyard. Nick wore a smug grin because he knew that he had successfully passed down his competitiveness. As soon as Nick picked up another ball from the white bucket near his legs when he started to laugh after hearing a piercing giggle. There’s only one giggle sweet enough to coat Nick’s ears in delight, and that’s his daughter, Samantha. “Is that little Sammy I hear?” Nick sang as his eyes met her small blue orbs she inherited from her mother. She giggled again and broke into a full sprint towards Nick, and Nick bent down and picked her up and skyrocketed her into the air and then pressing a quick kiss to her cheek. “Daddy I saw you playing with Evan and…and I wanted to come play too.” Nick’s eyebrows rose, “Is that so Sammy? You want to play baseball?” Nick cooed with a quick glance at his daughter’s nod. Evan groaned from afar, clearly exasperated and annoyed as he yelled, “Dad that’s so stupid, girl’s can’t play baseball!“
