This is the tumblr for the short stories of the imagination right in my brain. Suggestions will gladly be taken in my ask box. Please enjoy these small stories of imagery!
“Okay class,” Nick started as he cleared his throat, “I know you’re all very hard at work trying to keep up with my curriculum, but it’s time to learn the most easiest, simplest and probably the most cliche moment of history. And that would be the first man to discover America.” A collective amount of responded groans were thrown in Nick’s direction and he easily put his hands up to dismiss the annoyance, “I know that it’s not the most fun subject but it’s part of your midterm. Now, Christopher Columbus was born on October 31, 1451. That’s halloween, right?” Nick was interrupted by a sarcastic murmur, “Maybe you should dress up as Christopher Columbus so you could make this more interesting.” Nick sighed as the side of his mouth picked up in a smirk. Being a teacher, Nick knew that teaching history wouldn’t be the easiest, so, being who he is, he decided to change up his agenda. Nick’s leather patent shoes clicked across the marble floor as his keys jingled against the closet door, and Nick pulled out a shiny wooden guitar. The classroom fell silent as he put a stool in the middle of the classroom with the guitar lying on his nap. He softly strummed the strings, watching as each student’s face turned to shock as he started to sing, “Columbus sailed the ocean blue in fourteen hundred ninety two; using The Nina, The Pinta and the Santa Maria too. He sailed throughout the endless waves, bouncing and weaving through endless days. Suddenly, one day, a crew member screamed, “Mountain, earth, trees and sand!” Columbus stood tall and entered the land. Now this silly song may be strangely sung, but hey, think about it, you’ve already learned something.” Nick watched carefully as his students sat dumbfounded at his talent. Suddenly, as the quietness numbed Nick’s senses and doubt filled his brain, one brave classmate stood up and initiated the staccato of applause. It was the music to Nick’s ears, that applause, and one student stood up from all the rest and asked, “Why can’t you teach like that all the time, Mr. Jonas? You’re much more interesting that way.”
