This is the tumblr for the short stories of the imagination right in my brain. Suggestions will gladly be taken in my ask box. Please enjoy these small stories of imagery!
“Nicholaaaaaaaaaaaaas.” Nick cringed at the sound of his name being called that inconspicuously. “Yes dear?” he asked, biting his lip nervously. His eight month pregnant wife waddled through the kitchen and leaned to find her husband in the den. She placed her hands on the hips and blew the loose hairs on her forehead as she sighed, “I’m having another craving.” As much as Nick didn’t want to hear those words come out of her mouth, he knew that in the goodness of the fact that she was having his child, he could make another sacrifice. But boy, did he hate getting her cravings diminished. Just last week she wanted the sickening pickles and peanut butter combination. So, much to his dismay, he drove to the grocery and graciously bought both. “What is it this time?” he asked patiently. She clicked her tongue and with a smile, she answered, “I could really go for a super large iced cappucino and a piece of coffee cake from Starbucks. But, instead of the coffee in it, I want milk….and some caramel. Would you mind getting that for me?” she asked sweetly. To really pull Nick in, she gave him the sympathetic, sweet, knee-weakening puppy dogs eyes Nick has no power to say no to. So, Nick acceptably jumped into their white car and zoomed carefully to the nearest Starbucks, getting weird looks as he came out a big cup of iced milk with mixed caramel and a brown bag the size of one you would get at Bloomingdale’s. The things he does for food cravings, he’ll never understand. As soon as Nick handed his wife the ingredients to dull her craving, she giggled and whispered, “This would be delicious with some pickles and peanut butter.”
